Cognac Martell Gold Rabbit Decanter

L’Or de Jean Martell 1715 is the second installment in the Martell Zodiac series, presented in a stunning crystal decanter with a rabbit head stopper. This unique blend, made from 700 eaux-de-vie, was created by cellar master Christophe Valtaud, using rare and aged Cognacs from previous years of the rabbit. The nose unveils delicate aromas of acacia honey, chamomile, and vanilla, while the palate is enriched with notes of candied apricots, dried prunes, and honeyed fruits.

This culture of refinement and expertise is precisely what the Englishman Jean Martell discovered upon his arrival in France after leaving his hometown of Jersey. He quickly began trading eaux-de-vie in Cognac.

His passion for the trade of this spirit never wavered. For nearly 40 years, Jean Martell dedicated himself to studying and developing the art of Cognac. He explored the region in search of the finest eaux-de-vie, forging relationships with local winegrowers that would endure for generations. After his death in 1753, his widow Rachel took over the business, vowing to uphold his values and integrity.

Martell remains the oldest of the great Cognac Houses, built upon a legacy of passion and expertise passed down from generation to generation since 1715.

Often regarded as one of the symbols of French refinement, Martell is the global leader in XO (Extra Old) Cognacs.

Color: Dark golden copper

Nose: Very intense, powerful, and complex, with notes of blackcurrant.

Palate: Full-bodied and dense, with concentrated aromas of hazelnut. Generous, with an intense and lingering finish.
