From a family story started in 1766, Les Antiquaires du Cognac slowly developed their expertise in the vineyards and the distillery. They make part of few Cognac houses dedicated to old vintages Cognacs.
Single cru certified vintages are aged minimum 40 years. They are extremely limited edition and only available for the best vintages. These rare vintages will exist only once. When they are gone, they are gone forever.

The 1968 wine (Ugni blanc) vintage of Cognac has the lowest degree of alcohol of the century. The average 6.14% Alcohol by volume (ABV) of the 1968 wine testifies to the lack of maturity due to an excess of rain and cold during the growth cycle of the vine.
In 1968, in Champagne area, the sub-soil regulated the water abundance, giving beautiful and incredible wines with a high level of acidity 12.7, providing the base for legendary Cognacs.
The intense, round nose immediately and unreservedly attests to the cognac’s age. It slowly rises to voluptuously spread to a subtle alliance between candied and exotic fruits (mangoes), sun dried orange peel, vanilla and the scent of a cigar box covered by a note of chocolate.
The mouth is just as extraordinary. A velvety feeling that covers the whole mouth, a depth, an unrivaled density, a hint of nuttiness and a touch of licorice at the end of the mouth. Outstanding fineness and rare elegance.
