Cognac Martell Gold tiger decanter

Created to celebrate the Year of the Tiger, the first edition in Martell’s Zodiac series is presented in a stunning crystal decanter adorned with golden filigree, topped with a pâte de cristal stopper in the shape of a tiger’s head. This blend, made from 700 different eaux-de-vie, was crafted by cellar master Christophe Valtaud, using rare vintage Cognacs from previous years of the tiger. The palate reveals rich, bold notes of red fruit and oak.

He quickly began trading eaux-de-vie in Cognac.

His passion for the trade of this spirit never wavered. For nearly 40 years, Jean Martell dedicated himself to studying and developing the art of Cognac. He explored the region in search of the finest eaux-de-vie, forging relationships with local winegrowers that would endure for generations. After his death in 1753, his widow Rachel took over the business, vowing to uphold his values and integrity.

Martell remains the oldest of the great Cognac Houses, built upon a legacy of passion and expertise passed down from generation to generation since 1715.

Often regarded as one of the symbols of French refinement, Martell is the global leader in XO (Extra Old) Cognacs.

Nose: Very intense, powerful, and complex, with notes of blackcurrant.

Palate: Full-bodied and dense, with concentrated aromas of hazelnut. Generous, with an intense and lingering finish.
